Toledo Zoo features exhibits including a Hippoquarium, African Savanna, Arctic Encounter, a Children’s Zoo and Primate Forest. It houses more than 5,000 animals of about 600 species. The zoo is teeming with zebras, hippos, gorillas, polar bears, giraffes, orangutans, elephants, and many more wild creatures. Many live concerts and seasonal events are also held at the zoo. The National Museum of the Great Lakes showcases the interesting history of Great Lakes that make up eight-four percent of the fresh surface water in North America.
